The issue of school bullying is a very common issue in public schools. Regretably not much has been done to address the problem. Some schools are putting in place behavioral managment plans.

Parents can have a 504 plan to address the problem with a student. Most 504 plans address educational needs not school managment, so you need to speak directly to the principle on the matter or call the district.

Hello.
Can someone please be kind and tell me if NY passed the Bully Law? It was introduced on August 15 2008.
My nine year old daughter is a student in PS 122 in Astoria and she is being harassed, threatened and bullied terribly by another student in the same 4th grade class. The bullying has even gotten physical i.e shoved, pushed, tripped down the stairs, and being told things like "I am from the hood and I will kick your behind (expletive)
The problem has been reported to the school officials, but the harrassment continues and it has actually gotten worse. The bully is actually involving her older sibling that is not even a student of the same school.
Are they any laws on this issue?
Does anyone have any suggestions of we are to do now?

Thank you for your time
